NOTICE: Emergency Crisis Information (Children): DBH Notice of Interim Children's Crisis Response

Children's Moble Crisis Teams

CBH is pleased to announce the launch of the Children's Mobile Crisis Teams (CMCT) on November 13, 2017. CMCTs deliver short-term, voluntary, mobile/on-site, face-to-face therapeutic responses to children and youth in behavioral health crisis and their family. Crisis intervention can be provided for up to 72 hours after a dispatched call and may include:

  • De-escalation of crisis
  • Crisis stabilization/safety planning
  • Clinical interventions to address behavior and safety concerns
  • Parent/caregiver partnering and support
  • Assistance identifying unmet service needs
  • Administration of psychometric assessment measures
  • Engagement and collaboration with established services

Any child/youth residing in Philadelphia regardless of insurance can access the service (with adult assistance as applicable) by calling the Philadelphia Crisis Response (PCR), formerly known as the Acute Services Unit via the 24/7 Crisis Line, at 215-685-6440 for the dispatch of a Children's Mobile Crisis Team (CMCT).
